Naughty Nora

Since my daughter started crawling it’s a workout everyday trying to keep her out of trouble. She goes for anything and everything that she shouldn’t touch. Like every baby she’s obsessed with electronics, wires, cords, phones, etc. Since she’s less than a year old she really doesn’t understand why we’re trying to take these things away from her. We firmly tell her “no” and move her away or them from her grasp.
I know most of this behaviour is simply pure curiosity and normal exploration but there are other times when I feel like she’s really testing me such as when she takes off her bib and throws it on the ground or swats at a spoon full of food. She also plays too hard by smacking my chest and face and I know it’s out of excitement or affection but this is behaviour that should be corrected. And some times she does something she shouldn’t, but it’s so cute I can’t resist the urge to laugh thus negating any correction. It also didn’t help that the past summer her Pop Pop, my Dad, enjoyed every second of her putting me through the ringer and fondly nicknamed her “Naughty Nora”.
Discipline isn’t something I’m too worried about at this point but I think I should be laying the ground work for future measures. I just hope I can keep my laptop in once piece and my poker face believable until then.
